Habanero Lime - 1 Liter The Habanero pepper is a type of pepper named after the capital of Cuba, La Habana. Yet the pepper is most commonly cultivated in the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico. This is supposedly because Cubans from La Habana immigrated to Mexico and brought the peppers with them. Of all common peppers, Habanero peppers have the highest concentration of capsaicin (the substance that makes peppers spicy).
